Purna Chander has more than 10 years of experience in software testing the client/server and web-based applications. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. His goal is to reduce the manual effort of testing the applications to bring down the time from days to hours and hours to minutes. He has also worked with clients such as Google and Yahoo as part of software testing to build customized tools based on PERL/PYTHON. He holds a certification in PERL from BrainBench and also in CHFI (EC-Council.org) and implemented security testing (http://www.eccouncil.org/).

He lives with his wife, Latha; daughter, Lakshmi; and son, Likhith.

Sikuli is his favorite R&D tool, and he implemented this tool while working with KONY. At that time, there were no commercial or open source tools for testing mobile applications. Sikuli, along with Python, helped him to build a test automation framework that does tests on iPhone, Andriod, BlackBerry (touch and non-touch) and Windows emulators. He has worked with Hypersoft Technologies, Mindtree.com (clients Yahoo and Google), Kony.com, and HostAnalytics.com.
