About the Editor

NEIL MALHOTRA is the Edith M. Cornell Professor of Political Economy at the Stanford Graduate School of Business. He has been teaching business ethics at the Stanford Graduate School of Business since 2008. He is also the director of the Center for Social Innovation, where he manages the Certificate in Public Management and Social Innovation. In addition to developing a curriculum focused on social issues, impact measurement, and mission-driven business, he manages cocurricular activities related to impact investing, social entrepreneurship, and nonprofit management. He is the coauthor of Leading with Values: Strategies for Making Ethical Decisions in Business and Life. His research has investigated issues such as democratic accountability, political polarization, and the relationship among business, society, and government. Specifically, he has researched corporate self-regulation, the political preferences of business elites, and the economic effects of political polarization. He has published over seventy-five articles in leading journals across the natural and social sciences, including the American Political Science Review, the American Journal of Political Science, the Journal of Politics, Science, and the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences. He received his PhD in political science from Stanford University and his BA in economics from Yale University.
