From Chris

There are so many people who have helped and inspired me along my journey that I would like to thank. I’d like to begin with many of my teachers: To Miss Ellis, my sixth-grade teacher, who told me that I could be whoever I wanted to be. To a few of my college professors—Dr. Louis Junker, who opened my eyes to a world of better health, and to Dr. Kwok Ho, who pulled me into the prevention arena.

To my dad, who taught me how to laugh and listen, and to my mother, who taught me to be kind—thank you for all your love and support.

To our faithful On Target Living clients, readers, and followers, whose phone calls, letters, e-mails, and testimonials drive me to learn and grow every day—thank you!

To our wonderful team at On Target Living—Dawn, Mark, Kristen, Tab, Barry, Matt, Lisa, Patrick, and Anthony—you are changing lives.

To the friends and family who have supported me from the beginning—thank you!

To my two biggest cheerleaders, Dawn Miller and my daughter, Kristen—thank you for the positive sunshine you bring to me and the rest of our world each day; you are a gift.

To my son, Matt, who drove this project from the beginning—you have grown into a great leader, but more importantly, a terrific father and friend.

To my little girl, Dolly—your love changed me.

Finally, to the rock in my world, my wife, Paula—thank you for all your love and support; our journey together keeps getting better!

From Matt

Have you ever wondered what impact you have made on a person’s life? We have found that there are hundreds of people in our lives that have made positive impacts, and they don’t even know it. This is our chance to say thank you! Because without them, this book wouldn’t be possible.

  • Barry Napier—thanks for simplifying the vision.
  • Patrick McGinn—you have a beautiful way with words.
  • Pete Gaughan—thanks for the coaching.
  • Lisa Prang—you made this book more than words.
  • OTL Team—Dawn, Mark, Kristen, Paula, Tab, Anthony—thanks for all of your support.
  • Mr. Mac, my high school golf coach—you taught me sports were more than performance; they were about honesty, integrity, and teamwork. You were the most positive coach I have ever had. Love you to this day!
  • Don Underwood, my college golf coach—we did not always see eye to eye, but your positive impact will always be remembered. You always believed in me, when at times it would have been easier to give up. Thanks, Don!
  • All my friends, family, mentors, and coworkers who have always supported me, especially my biggest cheerleader, my twin sister Kristen. My amazing mother, Paula Johnson, you gave me the work ethic and tenacity to get things done! My mentor, boss, co-author, and best friend, Chris Johnson, you have always been my role model and I am lucky to work with you everyday.
  • My wife and best friend, Holly, you make me so happy!
  • Last, to Boji and LJ, and to my son, Eze. I can’t wait to watch you grow.
