Disaster Recovery Institute International (DRII) provides four levels of certification in Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Planning, including
Associate Business Continuity Professional (ABCP): For individuals who have limited industry experience (less than two years) but have at least entry-level proficiency in Business Continuity Planning.
Certified Functional Continuity Professional (CFCP): For individuals who have a demonstrated knowledge and experience of more than two years and can demonstrate practical experience in three of the Professional Practices areas (listed later in this section).
Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP): For individuals who have a demonstrated knowledge and experience of more than two years and can demonstrate practical experience in five of the Professional Practices areas (listed later in this section).
Master Business Continuity Professional (MBCP): For individuals who have a demonstrated knowledge and experience of more than five years and can demonstrate practical experience in seven of the Professional Practices areas (listed later in this section). This certification also requires completion of a directed research paper or a 31⁄2-hour case-study exam for an additional $250 fee.
The multiple-choice exam is administered at various locations and dates throughout the year. The exam tests the candidate’s knowledge in ten subject areas covered in the Professional Practices for Business Continuity Planners document:

Developing Business Continuity Strategies
Emergency Response and Operations
Developing and Implementing Business Continuity Plans

Coordination with External Agencies
