Dr. Triveni Gandhi is a “jill-of-all-trades” data scientist, thought leader, and advocate for the responsible use of AI who likes to find simple solutions to complicated problems. Her journey with data science began with basic statistics in grad school, and after finishing her degree she worked as a data analyst at an educational nonprofit organization, where she saw just how transformative data technology can be. It was not until she moved into the for-profit sector that Triveni saw the numerous shortcomings of the tech world—especially the lack of socioeconomic perspectives in the development and deployment of technology. As a result, Triveni has become a champion for diversifying voices in tech and teaching data practitioners how to discover and mitigate biases in their work. In her spare time, Triveni enjoys gardening, playing D&D, and spending time with her husband and puppy.
