Acknowledgments

Writing a book is only part of bringing a book to you, the reader. As with any book project of this magnitude, to carry out a project such as this, it takes more than just the author. It takes friends, professional associates, and others who unselfishly give of their time and effort to help make the author’s writing life easier and his or her books worth publishing.
I am also very grateful to a special group who over the years have supported, encouraged, and assisted me time and again with such projects as this, including the following friends, associates, and colleagues:
• Motomu Akashi, my mentor and a great sage; rest in peace my dear friend.
• Ed Halibozek, security professional, professor, writer and consultant, former fellow aerospace colleague, and longtime friend.
• Dr. Andy Jones, cyber security and InfoWar professional, professor, writer and consultant, and also a great friend.
• William Boni, vice president and corporate security information officer, T-Mobile Corporate, a friend for almost longer than the Internet has been around.
• Winn Schwartau, The Security Awareness Company, a good friend.
• Steve Lutz, CEO, WaySecure, fellow professional and longtime friend.
• To the staff and ISSO-3 project team of Elsevier Butterworth–Heinemann, led by Tom Stover and including Hilary Carr and Mohanapriyan Rajendran thanks for the time, effort, and support in making ISSO-3, and my other BH books, a reality and success. Without your support and guidance this book truly could not have been written.
