By default, incoming emails are fetched every five minutes. If you want to change this interval, follow these steps:

1. Activate the developer mode
2. Open the list of Scheduled Actions at Settings|Technical|Automation|Scheduled Actions
3. Search and open the Scheduled Action named Mail: Fetchmail
4. Change the interval using the field labeled Execute Every
