About the Authors

Ken Bluttman is the author of more than a dozen computer books, including those on aspects of web development. Coming from a business background primarily in Fortune 500 companies, Ken approaches development from the point of usage, rather than making the fancy become more important than the need—a form-follows-function approach. Ken has developed sophisticated corporate intranets, and has mentored and led teams of developers. For the past several years, Ken has been working independently, building web sites and writing books (with an occasional nap). He often consults for businesses in areas of analytics, traffic generation, and search engine optimization (SEO). When Ken gets some rare free time, you might find him playing a myriad of musical instruments, hiking up a small mountain, out on a photo shoot, or taking care of his variety of animals, and family, too!

Lee Cottrell is the Program Manager for Computer Programming and Networking at Bradford School in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He completed a Masters in Information Science from the University of Pittsburgh in 2001. He has been creating web pages with HTML since 1993, primarily for nonprofit and community organization web pages. As HTML changed, Lee kept pace, working with early versions of HTML5 and CSS3.
