After you test the new development with the production database (in the staging branch), you can deploy the new development into the PRODUCTION branch. Like before, you just need to drag and drop the STAGING branch into the PRODUCTION branch. This will merge the new feature branch into the master branch. Like the STAGING branch, your development module is only upgraded automatically if you have increased the module version from the manifest.
