Blender can duplicate existing objects. This is very useful and can speed up making things. To duplicate an object, follow these steps:
- Select the object to be duplicated.
- In the 3D menu, choose Object | Duplicate or press Shift + D.
- Move the mouse or use the arrow keys to place the duplicate (axis-constraining commands also work at this point).
- Press Enter or the select mouse button.
