About the Authors

RUMA BOSE is a serial entrepreneur, investor, philanthropist, and author. In 1992/1993, Ruma spent time in Calcutta working with Mother Teresa and the Missionaries of Charity.

Ruma is currently president and co-CEO of Sprayology, an innovative wellness company that sells vitamin and homeopathic oral sprays.

Previously, Ruma worked as a venture capitalist, advisor, and executive at many early-stage companies in the consumer industry. She cofounded a national floor-finishing company in the janitorial services industry. She then moved to the beauty industry, where she advised several luxury brands and was president of a leading boutique cosmetics firm in New York City.”

Ruma currently serves on the boards of SecretBuilders, an online children’s edutainment firm. She is also an active philanthropist, advising many non-profits and serving on the boards of SEED NY, Kopernik and her Pow-Wow Foundation.

LOUIS FAUST III is a businessman with more than thirty years of experience. He is the managing partner and founder of Edge Capital Partners, LLC, founded in 1996 to provide strategic advice to emerging growth companies.

Prior to that, Lou retired from Salomon Brothers after a ten-year career culminating in positions as a managing director and the head of global operations. He worked for Salomon Brothers in Japan from 1989 through 1994, beginning as CFO for Asia and ending as the Japan branch manager. Before going to Japan, he ran the firm’s worldwide planning process and its contractual products group in New York.

Over the past thirty years, Lou has held a number of board and senior management positions. He has run three institutionally funded companies and has worked with and invested in companies in a range of industries, including consumer and industrial products, business intelligence, and software. He enjoys travel, reading, and golf, and has coauthored a golf humor book titled Book of Mulligan: 18 Guaranteed Ways to Lower Your Golf Score Today.
