David L. Dotlich is chairman and CEO of Pivot, one of the world's largest providers of customized executive development for top leaders of Fortune 500 companies: Walmart, Johnson & Johnson, GSK, Nike, Microsoft, KKR, Aetna, Best Buy, Deutsche Post DHL, AbbVie, Ericsson, and many others. Named one of the Top 50 Coaches in the United States, he is a former executive vice president of Honeywell International and advises CEOs and boards on talent, leadership, and strategy. He is coauthor of eleven best-selling books, among them Head, Heart, and Guts; Why CEOs Fail; and Leading in Times of Crisis. A former University of Minnesota faculty member and consultant to boards and CEOs on talent and strategy, he co-founded CDR International and Oliver Wyman Executive Learning Center, and served as president of Mercer Delta Consulting. He completed his MA and PhD at the University of Minnesota. He lives in Portland, Oregon and New York City.

Peter C. Cairo is a consultant who serves as an adviser to CEOs and boards on leadership development, executive team performance, and board effectiveness. He works with clients such as BlackRock, Colgate-Palmolive, GSK, Avon Products, ITW, PepsiCo, Thomson Reuters, Interpublic Group, KPMG, Boehringer Ingelheim, and the Carlyle Group. A noted author and speaker, he is coauthor of six books, among them Head, Heart, and Guts; Why CEOs Fail; and Leading in Times of Crisis. He is former chairman of Columbia University's Department of Organizational and Counseling Psychology, where he has taught for twenty years, and co-founder of CDR International and Oliver Wyman Executive Learning Center. He earned his BA at Harvard University and PhD at Columbia University. He lives in upstate New York.

Cade Cowan is a consultant and coach to senior executives on leadership development. The head of Pivot's leadership-development practice, he has led programs in thirty-one countries on five continents with firms ranging from Walmart to GlaxoSmithKline to Aetna. A leader in innovative practices such as immersion experiences and impact measurement, he formerly was director of all global learning at Coca-Cola University, Bottling Investments Group (BIG), building on his experience as director of global leadership development at Coca-Cola University and as program designer at GE's John F. Welch Leadership Development Center. He earned his MA in organizational and social psychology from Columbia University and BA in economics and finance from the University of Tennessee at Martin. He lives in Atlanta, Georgia.
