You See “<Audio Only>” in the Response

This error often means that what Alexa heard from the user didn’t match an utterance for any of the skill’s intents and there is no fallback intent to fall back on.

In many cases, a misunderstood utterance will be directed to another intent with a similar enough utterance. But if there’s nothing even close to make a match and if there’s no fallback intent, then you might get the “<Audio Only>” response.

To fix this problem, add a fallback intent and handler to your skill. Also consider expanding the collection of utterances in the skill’s intents to capture more variations of what a user might say.
